Welcome to Project Literade!
Free book mail for babies, kids, and teens.
Every child deserves new books of their own. Access to books builds vocabulary, confidence, and curiosity.
But too often, that access depends on circumstance. Project Literade was created to address this.

Project Literade mails free, brand-new books matched to each reader’s age—no subscriptions, no fees.

Empowering futures, one book at a time.

About Project Literade
Project Literade™, founded by Dr. Cantrell Johnson, is a literacy access organization committed to increasing book ownership for readers from birth through high school. Project Literade provides direct-to-home book packages that place brand-new books into readers’ hands without barriers.

While many literacy efforts reach readers through schools, libraries, and community programs, some readers still experience gaps in access for a variety of reasons. Project Literade helps close these gaps by mailing new books directly to readers’ homes, expanding access and strengthening their connection to reading.
